Overview
“Tshuē Tsi̍t Kù” (the App) is developed by moooo_works. It is a fully offline search and learning tool for Taiwanese Hokkien proverbs. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
Data Stored on Your Device
All data you create in the App — favorites, browsing history, search history, and appearance/font-size settings — is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers. This data is removed when you uninstall the App. The “export search history” feature is triggered manually by you, and its content is only copied to your device’s clipboard.
Optional Improvement Program (Off by Default)
The first time you open the App, we ask whether you are willing to share anonymous usage information to help us improve search quality. No data is uploaded unless you consent. If you agree, we collect the following via Google Firebase:
- Search query text (up to 100 characters) and the number of results
- Which proverb you selected and its rank position in the results
- Crash reports (Crashlytics)
This data does not include your name, phone number, email address, or any information that directly identifies you. You can disable sharing at any time from Settings → Improvement Program.
Once you consent, Firebase also automatically collects standard usage statistics (such as app opens and screen views) and device information (device model, OS version, language, and a coarse region derived from your IP address), along with an anonymous install identifier. We have disabled collection of the Advertising ID.

- We do not require account registration and do not collect any personally identifiable information.
- We do not use advertising SDKs.

Data Source Attribution
The original text, definitions, example sentences, and audio of the proverbs are sourced from the Ministry of Education’s Dictionary of Frequently-Used Taiwan Minnan (臺灣台語常用詞辭典), used under the CC BY-ND 3.0 TW license with no modification to the original text.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
