Overview
KidStars (“the App”) is developed by moooo_works. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Locally stored data (on-device only)
All data you create in the App — including children’s names, avatars, tasks, rewards, and star records — is stored locally on your device using a local database (Room/SQLite). This data is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable Family Sync (see below).
Family Sync (Pro feature — optional)
If you choose to enable Family Sync, the App uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your Google account, and syncs your children’s data (names, tasks, rewards, star records) to Firebase Firestore to allow multiple parent devices to share the same data.
- Only data you have created in the App is synced.
- Sync is disabled by default and requires explicit opt-in.
- You can leave the family group at any time from Settings to stop syncing.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect any personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily enter (children’s names/nicknames).
- We do not require account registration for basic features.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or sell data to third parties.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Google Sign-In (Family Sync Only)
If you use Family Sync, the App uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) via the Android Credential Manager API. We access only your Google account UID and email address to identify your account within the family group. We do not store your Google credentials.
You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.

Google Play Billing
The App offers optional in-app purchases (Pro subscription and one-time purchase) processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Google.

Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or manually delete it.
- Firestore sync data is retained until you leave the family group or request deletion by contacting us.
Children’s Privacy
The App is designed to be used by parents to manage their children’s tasks and rewards. Parents enter their children’s names and data. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
